IT Systems Consultant
We are a long established Australian IT integrator seeking an experienced Systems Consultant in Perth.
The skills you possess will include:
- A thorough knowledge of server hardware, Windows Server 2003/2008 and Exchange 2007/2010
- Extensive exposure to desktop hardware, Windows operating systems including XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- An understanding of data communications (WAN & LAN using TCP/IP over Ethernet) and telecommunications including Voice over IP systems.
- An excellent troubleshooting / problem solving ability.
Your Key responsibilities will be:
- The installation, configuration and troubleshooting of server hardware and software plus routers and switches.
- The installation and maintenance of software such as Exchange, Backup Exec, Arcserve, Trend Micro anti-virus products and BES.
- Mentoring junior staff
- Second and third level support in resolving system outages.
It is essential you have:
- Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy and WSUS.
- Experience with Cisco small business routers and/or ASA devices.
- Completed or significant progress towards an MSCE certificate.
It is advantageous to have any of:
- SAN experience.
- Cisco UC Telephony or other VOIP experience.
- Understanding of VMware and Hyper-V.
- Linux experience.
- Knowledge of Blackberry and other mobile devices.
- Proven Project Management ability.
- Technical writing skills.
Training in areas such as document management systems and other commercial products will be provided as required.
Salary is by negotiation, subject to experience shown.
At least 5 years commercial experience is required.
