Interwoven WorkSiteTM Communication Server

Enabling comprehensive e-mail management across the enterprise

The Interwoven WorkSite Communication Server is a robust, scalable, enterprise class server that automatically routes inbound and outbound e-mail into the WorkSite repository. Working as the link between the WorkSite Server and an enterprise e-mail server, such as Microsoft Exchange, the WorkSite Communication Server uses metadata embedded in each e-mail to automatically route messages and attachments to their appropriate locations within WorkSite.  The Worksite Communication Server complements Interwoven FileSite and standard E-mail clients, including Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Web, Lotus Notes and Blackberry; enabling users to use the e-mail interface of their choice.  To make e-mail filing even simpler, each folder within the WorkSite server contains both the security rights and metadata necessary to appropriately profile or classify information as it is stored. E-mails being routed by the WorkSite Communication Server therefore automatically inherit the proper security and metadata as they are being stored within the system; eliminating the need for users to fill out profile information for each message.

Key Features

  • Routes inbound and outbound e-mails directly to Interwoven WorkSite folders
  • Automatic profiling eliminates need for manual completion of profile forms
  • Integration with popular e-mail tools, including Outlook, Outlook Web access, Lotus Notes, and wireless devices such as Blackberry
  • Messages and attachments automatically indexed for full-text searching
  • Search for messages, attachments, or both at the same time
  • Makes e-mail and attachments searchable by properties like "From", "To", and "Subject"
  • Duplicate detection prevents storage of redundant messages

The WorkSite Communications Server enables organizations to achieve greater e-mail control by enabling the storage of all matter or project related content in a single contextual based folder or workspace.  By simplifying the e-mail filing process, the WorkSite Communications Server enables organizations to have greater control over the capture of critical e-mail content for greater knowledge and records management capabilities.
