Office Information Australia (OIA) is a full-service IT Management provider, encompassing strategic planning, enterprise and small business design and implementation including security and mobile device management technologies. We offer auditing, asset management, automated monitoring through to procurement, and adhoc or managed support agreements.

The Position

This is an excellent opportunity to join our Perth based team as an experienced Level 2/3 Solutions Engineer providing support and project-based work to our clients within WA. As we provide out-of-hours support to some of our customers, some work out-of-hours may be required.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Second and third level support in resolving technical issues. 

  • The design, installation, configuration, and migration of Windows Server based environments (on premise and cloud based).

  • High level Domain, Active Directory, Network, Exchange, Microsoft 365, and Disaster Recovery design, issue resolution and support.

  • The maintenance of software such as Veeam, Shadow Protect, Datto BCDR, Duo Security, and Sophos Central.

  • Provide pre-Sales support to our Sales Team.

  • The installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows desktop hardware, routers/firewalls, and switches.

The skills you possess will include:

  • Demonstrated Helpdesk / Service Desk support experience.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and an ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

  • An excellent troubleshooting / problem solving ability.

  • An in-depth knowledge of desktop / server hardware, Windows client/server operating systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Proven experience with Windows Server 2016 / 2019 deployments.

  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Azure AD, and Group Policy.

  • Experience with Hyper-V or VMware.

  • Experience with ConnectWise Automate or similar solutions.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience with developing PowerShell scripts / modules.

  • Experience with the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential 8 Mitigation Strategies

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerBI.

  • Experience with Sophos XG Firewalls, HPE Aruba Switches or Cisco Routers.

  • Experience with the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, or System Centre Configuration Manager or other similar deployment tools.

Training in areas such as document management systems and other commercial products will be provided as required.


Salary is by negotiation, subject to experience shown. At least 6 years’ commercial experience is required.
