What is Happening?
Microsoft will be ending support for Windows 10 on 14 October 2025. After this date, Windows 10 will no longer receive security updates or support, which could leave your system vulnerable to security risks.
What Do I Need to Do About It?
To ensure your system remains secure and up-to-date, you need to upgrade to Windows 11.
Additionally, any hardware that is not Windows 11 compatible will need to be replaced. This is a global issue, and we expect to see shortages of equipment in Australia over the next 6 months. We strongly suggest planning ahead and getting in front.
How to Identify End-of-Life Hardware:
Our IT support team is here to help you identify any end-of-life hardware that needs to be replaced. Here’s how we can assist:
Assessment: We can assess your current hardware to determine if it meets the system requirements for Windows 11.
Recommendations: Based on our assessment, we can recommend suitable replacements to ensure compatibility with Windows 11.
What if My Hardware is Windows 11 Compatible?
If your current hardware is compatible with Windows 11, you don't need to purchase new equipment. OIA can supply and deploy an upgrade license for Windows 11 to continue receiving security updates and new features. This ensures your device remains secure and up-to-date without the need for additional hardware investments. OIA recommends we perform a hardware and license audit to remain up to date and secure. If you have any questions or need assistance with the upgrade process, our support team is here to help.
