Meet the Team: Brett McDonald - Digital Transformation Specialist
We had the opportunity to sit down with Brett McDonald and delve into his experiences with OIA.
How long have you been with OIA?
I’ve been with OIA for several years now, and it’s been a great journey. In that time, I’ve had the chance to work across a range of clients, especially in the accounting and legal industries, which keeps things both challenging and rewarding. Every year brings something new to learn — whether it's a product, a process, or just a different way to solve a familiar problem.
What’s your favourite part about being with OIA?
Hands down, it’s the flexibility and the people. The ability to manage work–life balance while still being part of a high-performing team is rare — and I really value that here. We’ve got a great culture where everyone genuinely wants to help each other succeed. Working closely with clients in legal and accounting also means I get to see firsthand how our solutions make a real impact on their day-to-day work.
What’s something to do with iManage that you’re looking forward to?
The obvious answer is AI — but I really am excited about it. I’m especially keen to see how Ask iManage evolves. The ability for users to ask questions in plain language and instantly surface the right information will completely change how professionals in legal and accounting interact with their documents. It has the potential to save time, reduce errors, and unlock insights that might otherwise be buried. We received some great feedback at the recent Accountants Expo so looking forward to seeing how this develops.
