Over the weekend, a new wave of global cyber attacks have affected over 200,000 victims in at least 150 countries, including Australia. These attacks hold user's files for ransom, blocking access and demanding a sum of money which increases over time.
In response to these attacks, OIA recommends undertaking a security review - ageing security with standard anti-virus is deemed no longer sufficient for these types of cyber attacks. Measures including 2-factor authentication, auto updates, online live web and external email scanning are all recommended in order to prevent your business being affected by these cyber attacks.
