iManage APAC Roadshow  From the 4th to the 12th of December, iManage held their APAC seminar series in Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Singapore. The roadshow was a great success, and generated a lot of excitement for Work 10 in particular. Agenda items included:

iManage Work 10.1 is now available! 

The highly anticipated iManage Work 10.1 release was made available recently.  Along with some new naming conventions, there are now separate installers for: > iManage Work Web Server 10.1 – the iManage Work web application was previously referred to as iManage Work New Professional Experience > iManage Work Server 10.1 – includes IMCC > iManage Preview Server 10.1 > iManage Share Agent 10.1 New features in this release include: > Native integration with iManage Security Policy Manager (SPM) and iManage Records Manager > The ability to securely share documents with internal and external stakeholders, with large files being shared via a link. > The capacity for multiple authors to work on the same document at the same time, by leveraging Microsoft OneDrive > The introduction of the RAVN indexer, a low-cost option for indexing and querying large data sets. iManage RAVN Indexer is currently available on request to customers deploying iManage RAVN in production as a Limited Release.  iManage Work 10.1 Server is compatible with Work Indexer 8.5 SP3, and iManage recommends running version 8.5 SP3 Update 1a. > Advanced security infrastructure, with users able to apply file-level encryption to all aspects of content including different document versions and thumbnails > iManage Preview Cache Management - previewed documents are now cached within the iManage Work Server and as a result, documents are rendered faster and retained longer Be sure to follow and participate in the new iManage Work 10 Live forum — a forum dedicated to deploying and working with iManage Work 10, where you can get Work 10 tips, best practices, and product updates from iManage and share your Work 10 deployment tips with the community, and share your feedback with iManage here.

Installing iManage Work 10.0.2 for Office and Email Management for Outlook with FileSite or DeskSite 9.3.x Compatibility

To install iManage Work 10.0.2 for Office and with FileSite or DeskSite 9.3.x, you must first run a silent install of the FileSite or DeskSite 9.3.x client, and then install iManage Work. This installs the relevant 9.3.x client but with the COM-Add-in integration in Office/Adobe disabled:

Setup.exe /s /v"/qn SERIALNUMBER=<serial number> EM_STATUS=OFF INT_3P=0"

or

MsiExec.exe /i "<path to Full_Installer/*.msi file>" /qn SERIALNUMBER=<serial number> EM_STATUS=OFF INT_3P=0

Failure to do this will cause the installation of both the COM and VSTO integration for Office, resulting in unexpected application behaviour.
